Welcome to WalkonCloud (“WalkonCloud,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, web app, waitlist, and related services (together, the “Services”).

By creating an account, signing in, joining the waitlist, clicking “Continue,” clicking “Join the Waitlist,” or otherwise using WalkonCloud, you acknowledge that we collect, use, and share information as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in a few different ways.

A. Information You Provide

You may provide information directly to us when you use WalkonCloud, including:

Waitlist Information

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address so we can send launch updates, early access invitations, and related WalkonCloud communications.

Account Information

If you create an account or sign in, we may collect your name, email address, profile photo, and login information through Firebase Authentication or a third-party sign-in provider such as Google.

Profile and Preference Information

You may choose to provide information such as your location, family details, interests, saved locations, or experience preferences so WalkonCloud can make your home screen and recommendations more helpful.

User Content

You may choose to create, upload, save, publish, or share content through WalkonCloud, including saved experiences, itineraries, notes, reviews, ratings, photos, comments, profile information, or other content.

Some User Content may be public or visible to other users if you choose to publish or share it, such as published itineraries, reviews, ratings, photos, or profile details.

Feedback and Support Information

If you contact us, submit feedback, report a bug, or respond to a survey, we may collect the information you provide, such as your message, email address, and related details.

WalkonCloud does not directly process bookings, payments, reservations, tickets, refunds, cancellations, or financial transactions. We do not collect or store payment card or financial information at this stage.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

When you use WalkonCloud, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including:

Device and Browser Information

Browser type, operating system, device type, screen size, language settings, and similar technical information.

Usage Information

Pages viewed, features used, buttons clicked, searches performed, saves, itinerary actions, feedback actions, map interactions, Book on Web clicks, external link clicks, and other interactions with the Services.

Log and Diagnostic Information

IP address, timestamps, referring pages, error logs, performance data, and security-related logs.

Approximate Location Information

We may use approximate location information, such as city, state, or region, to improve recommendations and local discovery. We may also use a location you choose to enter, such as a home city or preferred starting location.

We do not continuously track your precise real-time location in the background.

C. Information from Third-Party Services

If you sign in using a third-party provider, such as Google, we may receive basic profile information permitted by that provider and your account settings, such as your name, email address, and profile image.

We do not receive or store your password from third-party sign-in providers.

We may also use third-party services, such as Google Maps and Google Places, to support location search, maps, directions, distance estimates, experience information, photos, media, ratings, reviews, business information, and external provider links.

Third-party services may provide place information, maps, directions, distance estimates, photos, media, ratings, reviews, business information, and other experience-related content. Some of this content may be displayed in WalkonCloud but is provided by third-party services or external sources.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • operate, maintain, and improve WalkonCloud

  • provide account login and authentication

  • send waitlist updates, launch notices, and early access invitations

  • personalize your experience, home screen, and recommendations

  • enable features such as saving experiences, creating itineraries, viewing maps, using Book on Web links, and sharing plans

  • display published or shared User Content where applicable

  • organize, summarize, improve, or display experience information, itineraries, reviews, recommendations, and other content, including with automated tools or AI-assisted systems

  • help detect, review, moderate, or remove content that may violate our Terms, policies, or safety expectations

  • respond to feedback, questions, support requests, and bug reports

  • understand how users interact with WalkonCloud

  • improve performance, reliability, safety, and product quality

  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, or technical problems

  • enforce our terms, policies, and community expectations

  • comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Analytics, Cookies, and Session Replay

We may use cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to understand how WalkonCloud is used and to improve the product.

These tools may help us understand things like:

  • which pages are visited

  • which features are used

  • where users encounter errors

  • how long pages take to load

  • whether key flows, such as signup, saving, and itinerary creation, are working properly

We may use analytics and product improvement tools such as PostHog.

We may also use session replay or similar tools to better understand product issues and user experience problems. These tools may capture general interaction patterns such as clicks, scrolling, navigation, and page views.

We configure analytics and replay tools to avoid collecting sensitive information such as passwords, payment information, authentication tokens, and private sensitive fields. We do not ask users to enter highly sensitive personal information into WalkonCloud.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features of the Services.

4. AI-Assisted and Automated Processing

WalkonCloud may use automated tools, including AI-assisted systems, to help operate and improve the Services.

These tools may help us organize, summarize, classify, recommend, moderate, or improve experience information, itineraries, reviews, feedback, support messages, and other content.

We do not use AI-assisted systems to make legal, financial, medical, employment, housing, credit, or similarly significant decisions about users.

AI-assisted outputs may be reviewed, edited, or supplemented by WalkonCloud. Users should not rely on AI-assisted or automatically organized content as the sole source of truth for hours, pricing, availability, accessibility, rules, closures, or other important experience details.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only in limited circumstances.

A. Service Providers

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate WalkonCloud, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, email, security, infrastructure, AI-assisted processing, and mapping providers.

These may include services such as Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Maps/Places, PostHog, Railway, Resend, database providers, AI service providers, and other vendors that help us provide the Services.

These providers may process information on our behalf and are expected to protect it according to their agreements with us.

B. Public or Shared Content

If you choose to publish or share content, such as an itinerary, review, rating, photo, or profile detail, that content may be visible to other users or people with access to the shared content.

Do not publish or share content that you want to keep private.

C. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, court order, or government request.

D. Safety and Protection

We may disclose information when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of WalkonCloud, our users, or others.

E. Business Transfers

If WalkonCloud is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to protect user information in that context.

We do not share personal information with data brokers. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Location, Maps, Book on Web, and Third-Party Links

WalkonCloud may use location-related information to help families find experiences, estimate distances, show maps, provide directions, and personalize recommendations.

WalkonCloud may use third-party mapping and place-information services, including Google Maps and Google Places, to support maps, directions, distance estimates, location search, experience information, photos, media, ratings, reviews, business information, and external provider links.

WalkonCloud may include external links or buttons, including Book on Web, that direct users to third-party websites, maps, provider pages, booking pages, ticketing pages, or other external services.

These third-party sites and services are not controlled by WalkonCloud, and their privacy practices may differ from ours. If you choose to visit or use a third-party site or service, the information you provide to that third party is governed by that third party’s privacy policy and terms.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, policies, or security of third-party websites or services. Please review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, operate WalkonCloud, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve our product.

If you join the waitlist, we retain your email address until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we no longer need it for launch or product communication purposes.

If you create an account, we retain account-related information while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

When information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize, or securely retain it as required by law or legitimate business needs.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information.

These may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit, infrastructure security practices, and limited access to production systems.

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed without authorization.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
  • access the personal information we hold about you

  • request correction of inaccurate information

  • request deletion of your information

  • request a copy of your information

  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

  • object to or restrict certain processing

You may also unsubscribe from waitlist or marketing-related emails by using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us.

10. Children’s Privacy

WalkonCloud is intended for use by parents and adults.

WalkonCloud is not intended for children under the age of 13, and children should not create accounts or submit personal information through the Services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Communications

If you join our waitlist or create an account, we may send you service-related emails, product updates, launch announcements, early access invitations, feedback requests, and other WalkonCloud-related communications.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time.

We may still send important service-related messages, such as account, security, or policy updates, where appropriate.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice, such as by email or through the Services.

Your continued use of WalkonCloud after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
